Vision & Mission

In 2011, Dar Alarqam School and Al Ihsan Academy merged to create a new entity, International Islamic Academy (IIA). IIA is dedicated to excellence in education, morals, and ethical values. It provides a rich and challenging curriculum, fulfilling the requirements of the State of Michigan. In addition, it offers opportunities for intellectual and personal growth, instilling in students an appreciation for the treasures, beauty, and richness of an outstanding Arabic, Qur’an, and Islamic Studies education. IIA endeavors to provide a profound understanding of Islam, preparing highly academic scholars, citizens, and community builders. IIA’s mission is to enable students to achieve their academic best,¬†fostering lifelong learning, responsibility, and leadership for every individual.


The International Islamic Academy admits students of any race, color, national, or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate based on race, color, national, and ethnic origin in administering its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
